Oh yeah! Spring break fun.

Starting Friday March 15th, all players will be able to log in to The Old Republic™ and receive twice the amount of XP every weekend until April 8, 2013. Don’t worry if you’ve already hit Level 50. Your Legacy XP will double too! Log in during the following weekends to earn Double XP:

•March 15, 2013 at 1:00PM CDT / 6:00PM GMT to March 18, 2013 at 2:00AM CDT / 7:00AM GMT

How good is a $400+ graphic card?

The reason I ask is because I have been thinking of trying one, but I want to see how it looks live before making the leap. I guess I live in the sticks because I have never seen a graphic card that cost more than $200.

I have seen videos on YouTube and 3d benchmark speed tests on forums and what not but I can’t find anyone that has one I could look at or a store that has one on display.

So if anyone has tried a more expensive card is it worth it?

How many computers have you bought since Everquest came out?

Everquest is getting ready for their 14th anniversary. I think I may have bought 10 computers since then.

I want to play but I don’t want to download some 19 expansions. I really wish I had a current DVD. I would even pay for it.

Today I was wondering if anyone else ever feels like they would love to revisit a game they used to own, but the thought of downloading all that content stops them.

Why don’t companies offer the option of buying a current disc? I mean they sell everything else. Mounts, pets, outfits, etc…

Just a note to myelf so I don’t forget about this. It is amazing how many games have a free weekend from time to time. Also many of the games I used to play have a f2p option. If nothing else it helps to keep the games current with the latest version .

Yes I am still playing all the time and I read blogs everyday. I just just never have enough time. It might help if I didn’t play so many different games. Characters used to be my alts but now games are my alts LOL.

Mists of Pandaria 1st Impression

The Pandaria starting area was a lot of fun. There are a few bugs but that is to be expected, otherwise it wasn’t too laggy at all at least to me. There were so many characters that it disconnected a few times. My little daughter took over my wife’s character since she thought the Panda were so so cute. ( Little girls are suckers for Panda cuteness.) The starting area is bright colors and not as scary as perhaps the Worgen area was. I have never seen so many characters in one place at one time since BC Draenei and Blood Elves areas began. It didn’t last long because by level 11 she was back to the old world. It did feel like a different game for awhile. I think it was the newness of it all. The quests were kind of easy but fun.

Now I will have to grind my way to 85 and figure out how this Monk does. I wanted to post some pics but I am on the wrong computer. I think most of the game is going to be for the 85-90′s. But we will see.

Mists of Pandaria Beta Updating

Ok a little background. I have never participated in a beta before so this will be my first. The reason I decided to try this time is because the kids are home all week for Spring break and we could use a little something something to make it a little more fun heh. Hopefully I will be able to post some pics and write a little about it. It has been available for awhile now but I usually never do Beta’s. (/shrug). I did the Annual Pass thingy back when it was first offered because I played Diablo and D2 way back when. The extra stuff is a nice bonus.

Just thought I would post real quick while I wait for the updates.

I am sorry that I haven’t been blogging. I don’t even recognize wordpress anymore. I will pretend I was on a long vacation spending lottery money.

My how time flies when you get older.

My kids introduced to me the new marvels of technology. The year 2011 we got some camera that lets you make videos, a cell phone, and I finally got the PS3. The gang has made over 350 youtube videos. (Gasp!)

My New Year’s resolutions will be to blog more even if its just to myself because I think writing is cool in all forms.

To stay fit. ( Hmm… this one seems to make the list every year.) and Enjoy Life More.

I just got back from Walmart about 10 minutes ago. They were having a Midnight release of the expansion and the first 25 people were given a nice Deathwing poster. I wasn’t sure what to expect for turn out. It was nothing like the videos they show. There were about 10 of us, it did seem of those that were there half bought the Collector’s Edition. It was fun being with some of the true fans of the game. I was certainly glad that I didn’t have to wait outside it was 19F (hehe..) I will say its kind of hard to get to sleep right now. I can’t wait to play Hope everyone else has an easy time of getting the game and see you out there! * Grabs his mining pick and goes off to do some ore farming*
